Are the apartments furnished?
No. The apartments for this community are unfurnished one, two, or three bedroom apartments. Each apartment consists of a large walk-in closet(s), bathroom(s), living/dining room(s), bedroom(s), full-service kitchen, pantry, coat or linen closet, and private balcony or patio. New residents to this community can pick out the paint color(s), carpet color(s) and style(s) and any additional amenities, but we encourage residents and family members to bring all furniture and furnishings in order to make the apartment feel as much like home as possible. Our maintenance and housekeeping staffs are available to assist with all move-in requests.
When is the bill due?
Our accounting department will send the bill to the assigned resident or sponsor on a monthly basis. Bills are due on the 10th of each month. The first month rent and deposit is due at move-in time.
Does the cost include utilities?
For our Independent Living community all utilities, maintenance, weekly housekeeping and bed linen laundry services, basic expanded television services and daily trash removal are included. The only additional cost to the resident is the telephone service.
What is the community fee?
The community fee is a one-time fee that varies depending on the size of the apartment and is paid at move-in. Community fees apply only to rental apartments. The fee is non-refundable and pays for the refurbishing of the resident apartment and community services.
Do you provide transportation to and from doctor’s appointments, the mall and the grocery store?
Yes. We have a program available at no additional costs in which transportation services are provided to routine doctor’s appointments, shopping areas, all scheduled activities and events, groceries stores and pharmacies.
Are guests allowed to stay overnight?
Yes. Guests are welcome to stay with their loved ones in the resident apartment. Additional beds and services are available through Housekeeping. Kirkwood by the River also has a Guest Room available to rent for guests of our residents. The room is available on a first-come, first-served basis and is limited to no more than seven consecutive nights. Please contact Sara Scott at email@example.com for more information.
Can I have a pet?
Yes. Small pets are allowed in our Independent Living Community.
