Are the apartments furnished?
No. The apartments for this community are unfurnished one room studio apartments. Each apartment consists of a large closet, large private bathroom, and large living space for sitting area and bedroom and private balcony. The rooms are newly painted with new carpet, but we encourage residents and family members to bring all furniture and furnishings in order to make the apartment feel as much like home as possible. Our maintenance and housekeeping staffs are available to assist with all move-in requests.
What is the difference between Basic Assisted Living and Memory Care Assisted Living?
Basic Assisted Living Community is for our residents who strive to live an independent lifestyle, but may require assistance with medication kwadministration, activities of daily living and personal care needs. Memory Care Assisted Living Community is for our residents who require more monitoring and assistance due to mild to moderate memory loss.
Is there a private dining room and can a resident access the kitchen for food and drink?
The Memory Care Community offers a private dining room for our residents. The dining room is designed with restaurant style dining and serves three meals daily. Residents have access to drinks, snacks and meals 24 hours a day.
What kinds of activities are available?
Our program director for the Memory Care Community offers a wide variety of activities that is sure to fit each individual’s requests. We offer activities such as card games, puzzles, concerts, arts and crafts, exercise classes, movie marathons, worship services, lunch outings, trips to various shows and outdoor activities. There are many options to fit everyone’s needs and keep our residents as activity as they desire.
How many residents can stay in one apartment?
Per the State of Alabama regulations and guidelines, we can only allow one resident per apartment for this community.
Does this include incontinence supplies?
Yes. We have a specialized trained staff that will provide assistance with bathing, dressing and personal care needs.
Can I have a pet?
No. Pets are only allowed in our Independent Living Community.
When is the bill due?
Our accounting department will send the bill to the assigned resident or sponsor on a monthly basis. Bills are due on the 10th of each month. The first month rent and deposit is due at move-in time.
