Did you know?! Independent Presbyterian Church has a respite day program, known as “Recess”, that provides fun and fellowship for people with mild to moderate memory loss. Trained staff and volunteers lead activites, provide companionship, and enjoy lunch together each day. The program is currently on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00am to 2:00 pm.
Participants enjoy socializing while taking part in life enriching activites such as:
-Daily devotions
-Music
-Dance
-Exercise
-Visual arts and crafts
-Group games
-Story-telling and reminiscing
-Visits from the IPC children’s day school!
While participants are in this wonderful program, caregivers have the opportunity to run errands, enjoy some alone time and rest, knowing your loved one is being cared for in a happy, safe environment!
