Today we want to introduce to you, the Cumberland floorpan from our new cottage home construction plan!
From our talented architect, Taylor Plosser Davis:
“Introducing Cumberland, one of three cottages at Kirkwood by the River designed by TPD in association with KPS Group. Each of the Cedar Ridge Cottages incorporates elements designed specifically for independent living, without sacrificing style or quality. As the Harvard Joint Center for Housing Studies has pointed out, only one percent of existing homes in the United States include elements considered important for independent senior living, including zero step entries, wider openings, owner suites on the main level, controls located within reach of sitting, and lever handles on doors and faucets. In contrast, each of the Cedar Ridge cottages features all of these elements, as well as curbless showers, graciously open living spaces, and screened porches available for each model.”
This home includes:
652 Unconditioned Square Feet, 1595 Conditioned Square Feet, and 2247 Total Square Feet
2 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms
2 Car Garage
Front Patio
Screened In Back Porch
We’re thankful to have such a talented group of locals on our project team – Taylor Plosser Davis in association with KPS Group, Stewart Perry, Schoel Engineering and Environmental Design Studio, Inc. Thanks to Mark Thompson of Thompson Placemaking for this rendering of Cumberland.
