This month, our resident spotlight is on our wonderful community member of 2 years, Elizabeth Miller! We so enjoyed getting to know her a little bit better and hope you do too!
Where are you from? I am from Tuscaloosa and I lived there until my husband, Charlie, was promoted to district manager for Wyeth Lab. We got married there in 1954 and moved to Birmingham in 1955 and have been here ever since!
Tell us about your family. Charlie and I were married for 66 years until he passed away in 2020. We have 3 children, 5 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren!
Tell us about your education. I graduated from The University of Alabama (Roll Tide) in 1953 with a Bachelor’s degree and then went on to get a Master’s in History from UAB!
How long have you lived at Kirkwood? 2 years!
What is your favorite thing about life at Kirkwood? The people! Both the employees and the residents here are so wonderful!
If you could sit down and have a meal with anyone in the world, present, past, or future, who would you choose? I would love to have one more meal with my husband, Charlie Miller.
Elizabeth thank you so much for sharing with us! We are so thankful to have you as apart of our Kirkwood family.
